GLA Outbound is being picked up at 1610 on Friday by the Dreamliner, no indication of a return inbound to either GLA or ABZ at the moment, but I would think the 787 will bring back the Aberdeen passengers to GLA around 0200 Saturday, followed by a coach trip north.
The Dalaman 787 returned direct to BHX, where it was next required, so presumably coaches from there to Aberdeen, unless they somehow managed to get people back earlier using spare seats on other flights.

Saturday off to a bad start for Tui, 1hr30 delay on Reus and 2hr05 delay on Ibiza. That said, all the Jet2 departures had delays as well, but a maximum of 35 minutes.
And now G-TUII is positioning from BHX to operate Cancun 4 hours late . . . not quite sure why the aircraft was changed at BHX

Strange though as flying the 787 to BHX has resulted in GLA having no 787 to operate today’s CUN. Another 787 is now positioning BHX-GLA and today’s CUN is now significantly delayed (will be at least 3-4 hours late departing).

Is is not Antalya (TOM654)?

The assigned B38M G-TUMH was 'only' an hour late inbound from Reus

Another mental example of TUI operations was on the 10th when I flew to Charleroi.

There was a Dreamliner sitting at the stands next to the Loganair hanger flying to LTN at midday. In order to operate our PMI flight that is scheduled to be a 787, TUI flew another one in from DSA and delayed the flight 65 minutes.

There may well be a very good reason for it, but it seems strange to me that they flew one aircraft in when there was already one here.

The number of TUI delays and cancellations at the moment is crazy. GLA had a few 24-hour delays at the beginning of the season but had been faring okay since then until today.

24-hour delays are almost becoming normal/mild for TUI. I’m sure not all within their control but it seems things are getting massively out of hand and it’ll be costing them a fortune. Let’s hope they can get a handle on it soon.

They’ve been forced to fully cancel/refund holidays and in some cases have operated flights 3-4 days late by which point many holidays will have already been ruined.

Regards financials their share price has constantly descended over the past ten days around 20%. This stems from worries over the placing of 360 million shares to fund the first debt repayment to the German Federal government as well as future disruption costs. Existing shareholders will see their capital value and percentage holdings reduced and with no prospect of any dividend payable in the near future it makes the stock look unattractive. It may well be a punt for a recovery fund but right now that looks a long way off. All the negative publicity doesn’t help but perhaps, like Unilever, it’s time to awake from being “woke” and address and resolve the problems in the day job.
