Flight due to depart this morning now at 0730 (just under 16hrs late)
FNC to EDi arriving 1630 this afternoon instead of last night! Crew must have gone out of hours en route.
Any Jet2 flight that was going to FNC due to depart yesterday afternoon...left this morning. No issues with crew hours.

Heathrow has imposed a cap on daily passenger numbers at the airport with immediate effect.

This will apply until 11 September 2022.

It considers that the airport & airlines do not have the resources to handle more than 100,000 passengers a day. https://t.co/qVROhktytv

Global Britain, but don’t expect to use the main port of entry to enter or leave the country.

Things are becoming unworkable!

I’ve just read a post that British Airways aren’t loading bags onto domestic services tonight due to staff shortages! I can imagine even more carnage into what is becoming an unworkable environment.

On a personal note our flights from EDI-LHR are now cancelled together with the outbound LHR-MUC leg leaving only the MUC-LHR leg operational. The alternative is cancel and refund the domestics, seek alternative domestic flights or request a full refund. Morag’s birthday holiday trashed!

My new booking for GLA-FRA via LHR in August hasn’t been cancelled yet……I wait with baited breath.

It’s time the Government sent in the Army to help with bags. It’s time all politicians rolled up their sleeves and help get the country up and running again, it’s time for all airport bosses to waive bonuses and realise the first priority is to get folks travel plans back on track as soon as possible. This situation simply can’t continue like a wounded dog.

It is reported that Icelandair are sending their own baggage loaders to AMS to help alleviate baggage related issues at Schiphol!

BA1497 2030 departure from last night has only just departed . . . 14 hours late

BA GLA-LHR hacked back . . . 4 out of 9 departures cancelled today, 3 out of 10 tomorrow

BA have sent comms to the travel trade today that they will be cancelling any unticketed bookings for travel during the upcoming high season and are advising anyone with unticketed bookings to have them ticketed by Friday 15 July.

What a mess.

Heathrow? Just say no.

That’s my motto.
