Or equally the reverse could be true.

Only the -10 is to be configured with a similar cabin to the 757. Unless they are planning on creating a floating airstrip in the middle of the atlantic that aircraft is not making it.GeorgeNTravels wrote: ↑Sun Aug 07, 2022 8:10 pm
I think UA will be back at some point with the 737 Max.
Any United return will be on the 321XLR.

Re: Edinburgh
The possibility of London, especially LHR changed everything (even though LGW will be a bigger station this year). It put everything on the back burner. Seeing as it is no longer relevant and I doubt anyone cares any more, the original "first five" - JFK initially then BOS - were LIS, BCN, AMS, MAN and GLA. Strangely DL either started, increased or by proxy (VS) flew those markets to JFK or BOS or both (EDI instead of GLA after a long think for BOS). Pandemic added 2 years - unrecoverable deferrals (another leadership fail) will likely add 2, more likely 3, more years to any expansion outside of "major" destinations. Best guess 2024 at absolute earliest but only a guess. If merger goes thru then some spirit 321s will get the extra tank to increase the amount of LRs on property - easy change -and that may change the timeline.Ekally1 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 4:12 pmAny updates on a B6 new service ?jetblue497 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 08, 2022 2:58 pmOnly the -10 is to be configured with a similar cabin to the 757. Re: Edinburgh
It's the capital , more attractive for inbound most probable.. According to Americans, Edinburgh is scotland . Hence why IMHO gla needs to come out fighting and address the problem or at least attempt to ..
Re: Edinburgh
Tui seemed to have dropped edi longhaul to cancan and Orlando Melbourne for S23 onwards
Re: Edinburgh
Does this also impact other regional short season departures I.e BRS, EMA, STN etc? If so it could be just down to better aircraft use and eliminating expensive positioning flights. Either way hope GLA gains more based services from this. If not £ vs $ rate is beginning to bite!
Re: Edinburgh
No long haul TUI from EMA or STN. BRS is a season long. Think it was DSA that lost its flights for EDIatuk wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 5:14 amDoes this also impact other regional short season departures I.e BRS, EMA, STN etc? LH to increase FRA-EDI to 2x daily over Winter and introduce a nightstopper.
Re: Edinburgh
FRA-GLA and FRA-EDI will both have very similar times on the days they operate double dailysouthflyer wrote: ↑Mon Sep 05, 2022 10:37 am LH to increase FRA-EDI to 2x daily over Winter and introduce a nightstopper.
