I’m curious if any movement here with FR could give EZY a shake to expand at GLA again.

Here is another option . . . . switching the PIK based aircraft to a European base to cover for MAX delays and/or better yields in other markets

How about BFS?

Lets hope that this ; whatever it may be, lands up in Glasgow. Dare I say it, they could do with some decent positivity.
Also removes the PIK pincer for the moment at least.

Just been looking on PPrune and it seems the PIK S23 routes have been off sale for 3 weeks.

Reading with some interest the announcement about the huge Investment in Space Company activities at PIK. Multi million Investment and hundreds of jobs.
The cynic in me thinks that this could soften the blow of any changes in Ryanair position at PIK.

I read that with interest too. All the funding has come from public funds, no mention of the company themselves putting up any of their own cash.

Hopefully all due diligence has been rigorously completed and strings attached when government funding ceases so this isn’t another De Lorean, Hungwai or Golden Jubilee fiasco.

If it goes ahead, by the time they switch the lights off, should that be the case, RYR will have made their position clear. I dont care about Rockets. I just want PIK to stop offering Pax options at the expense of GLA

Or an affirmation that PIK’s new business model is for non pax aviation ops, high tech, aerospace centre of excellence, etc. This certainly adds fuel to the fire that FR are coming to GLA.

It won’t be a blow to PIK when pax ops cease. It removes that burden and makes the business stronger. And that’s what I’ll be telling any chump that thinks it’s a blow for the Scot Gov. They’ve tasked the management to turn it around and that’s what they are doing. We’ve be been saying for years to cut out the dead wood and expand on the profitable elements of the business.

Fingers and toes crossed at what is a pivotal time.
