WZZ/WUK are not airlines you want or need based. They are one of the worse airlines out there. They chop and change flights constantly, stop routes with no notice and even the CAA can't get them to pay out compensation to passengers when their flights are cancelled or delayed. They would bring nothing to GLA, not long term anyway.

Totally agree Hialflyer. I'd not mind some away based routes from them in lieu of FR offering nothing much that way but that's it.

Have flown with WZZ on many occasions, mainly to from WAW to EDI - WAW in the past & found flights to be on time & very comfortable with excellent staff and new clean, smooth aircraft. No complaints my end, who would GLA be to knock back a WZZ base, chance a fine thing, they couldn’t hold on to them last time.

Indeed. GLA should try to get a Wizz. base if Ryanair are playing hardball and I’m sure it has been explored by bosses.

Wizz do something like 77 routes from their STN base. I’d take a third of that in a trice. Then watch Ryanair set up here too.

Wiz seems to have a base at EDI. I regularly see A321 coming out over Livi. No doubt they will fall Out with EDI the same as other airport they use to operate to in England

Base involves crew being based - maybe even MX too, crew trips ORIGINATE and TERMINATE there. ALL EDI flights are turns so not a base.
