Had a great time Paris thanks. Costa Del Sol never fails to deliver. As you said, the queues for border control entering Malaga were horrendous.Over 40 minutes to get through. :(

Love Alvor, been 3 times. The beach is amazing & I'm not a beach lover....Great wee traditional Portuguese bar near the church. Jose and his wife ran it... just sat on the pavement outside and avoided the cars! Enjoy!

Fifitieth anniversary of my first flight trip booked. EDI-LHR-MXP on BA. First flight was on BCal so a wee bit of continuity. Next day Sour and Surly MXP-CPH-DUS then two days later DUS-LHR-EDI.

September sees me back in GLA to MUC via LHR then later in the month with Bearsden, Ian and families GLA-OPO with EZY.

First flights for S24 now booked on 787 GLA-PMI in June. I did my last TUI departure on Thursday to CUN: nice to see some original BY staff on board.

Enjoy. Buy a travel ticket at the airport for SBahn, UBahn, DB, bus and tram. There are two types: one for transport only, the other also includes discounts for tourist attractions. It depends which you prefer and how many days you need. I’ve only used the transport one as there are so many places to see and you may change your mind having spent extra that you don’t use.

Bus 100/200 is a veritable history lesson from Zoogarten to Alexander Platz, passingReichstag, Museum Insel, BerlinDom, BrandenburgGate and Unter den Linden.

Have a great time: I was always wary of visiting Berlin as it’s so large, had a bit of a reputation as party/sleazy place if Germany but it’s lovely. Go to KaDeWe and visit their coffee shop for great rooftop views of West Berlin.

Agree with atuk re the travel ticket. We used the U Bahn all the time. Of course not looking for fine dining or anything expense we gravitated towards the “sleazy/party” parts of town and loved it. In fact we went on a guided walking tour which was based on street art (graffiti) which took us off the tourist track and into the real Berlin. It takes in the landmarks too and the wall and told us of life before the wall came down. Along the way there was a reggae beach bar which was irie if you like that sort of thing.
Another nice thing was lazy on a Sunday afternoon on the lawns outside the Reichstag with a beer and a chilli dog.
