That lot certainly brings Easyjet Holidays to Birmingham in a big way, which will give Tui and Jet2 a bit of competition

If somebody could list EZY bases in order if based aircraft across the UK this could make interesting reading.

London Gatwick - 79
London Luton - 24
Manchester - 21
Bristol - 17
Edinburgh - 9
Belfast International - 8
Liverpool - 7
Glasgow - 5
Birmingham - 3

That's what I have found, LGW might actually be higher than that.

And that's the primary reason BRS now handles 2 million more passengers than GLA despite it having relatively poor access (road only) and is located on the top of a hill

Its growth clearly affected its nearest competitor at Cardiff and obviously has very limited intercontinental traffic with Heathrow along the M4

As a regular user of BRS I can confirm access is a freakin' nightmare and the airport is located in the arse-end of nowhere and is a shambles. Still putting us to shame though obviously.Tragic.

Truly tragic. Frankly, without the domestic routes - particularly London - I do wonder if GLA would even be a base...
It is tragic. EZY could/should be doing so much more from GLA, especially as their arch-rivals FR are practically non existent at GLA.
Having said that, I firmly belive the most successful route out of the doldrums for GLA is an FR base, starting with a minimum of two units.
Think we'd see EZY get their finger out then.
