Afaik GLA-Belfast has generally been as big a market as EDI-Belfast, so you would have thought they might launch GLA-BFS too. The fact they haven't might perhaps suggest they have a particularly poor relationship with AGS - Or is there perhaps some exclusivity with EDI that completely prevents growth at GLA?

On the other hand, how many pax will choose once daily FR over multi daily EZY on EDI-BFS?

Central Belt has three airports. One is a dead duck. One is struggling to attract new routes. One is driving forward.
Id wager that we only need two airports. You could argue for and against only one.
Sort that out and Glasgow has a chance. If its staus quo, then Im afraid, this is it..

I think there is an issue between AGS and FR, we have not seen expansion by FR at any of the 3 group airports in god knows how long.

Correlation ≠ causation. They don't use SOU because it's too small, ABZ is a small town propped-up by a declining industry and GLA we've discussed ad nauseam. So there may be three distinct reasons why FR don't use (or expand at) the three AGS airports, rather than AGS per se being the common reason.

But they said they wouldn't use BHD as it was too small but they ended up back there anyways

Is it not resumption of Aldergrove, rather than City? The restrictions at City only allowed a 140-passenger payload, so they moved to Aldergrove, which was the base closed last October.

As for returning to GLA, I wonder if trying to get them back has even crossed minds at the top table.

Yeah it is a return to Aldergrove, but they used to serve BHD and left, before coming back in S21 for a season and leaving again.

They won't reopen a GLA base, because they don't need to.
