CAA July 23 stats
Re: CAA July 23 stats
Perhaps more relevant is next year sees the start of A330Neo(A339) deliveries and also the A359 should join the fleet. Those would allow a 2nd service to operate with something smaller than the B77W, although exact configuration for the new Airbuses has not yet been released.
Worth noting that July produced a 97% load factor.

I think they might have dropped the A339 order and switched to A359s and 789s?
I guess it's peak summer, but 97% loads might indicate they need to increase capacity sooner than next summer. Those loads mean many flights will be going 100% full, meaning they'll be turning business away - not something airlnes want to be doing.
I understand the A380 is a big deal, but competing against double daily QR at EDI, I think GLA really needs 2x daily.

They dropped the A330 NEO and added 20 A350-900s. Converted 787-10 to 787-9 but there is still some doubt the 787 will happen.Iain wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 9:09 pmPiperOne wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 8:24 pm Perhaps more relevant is next year sees the start of A330Neo(A339) deliveries and also the A359 should join the fleet. Re: CAA July 23 stats
A380 is good for the airport, but 777x2 is more profitable for EK, as GLA is one of EKs busiest hubs for cargo in UK

Re: CAA July 23 stats
Some have mentioned the 789 and A339 .. again this is a backstep .. we are better than that
Re: CAA July 23 stats
Had a look at the Airbus website, and EK no longer on the A330neo customer list, so I'd agree they've switched their orders around. So 1 x 388 and 1 x 359 or 789 would make sense if they wanted to keep the A380 service, but not go as far as having a 77W on the 2nd service.Iain wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 9:09 pmPiperOne wrote: ↑Sun Sep 24, 2023 8:24 pm Perhaps more relevant is next year sees the start of A330Neo(A339) deliveries and also the A359 should join the fleet. Far from agree .. we where a A380 and 77W station before and very successful .PiperOne wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 10:58 amHad a look at the Airbus website, and EK no longer on the A330neo customer list, so I'd agree they've switched their orders around. Sorry to be blunt but did covid affect most on here?
Are we just forgetting the A380 and 77W was very popular?
Why are others determined to reduce the number of seats available from Glasgow?

Agree with this ... why would you want to reduce what we previously had .. bonkersawwdabaaby wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 4:13 pm Sorry to be blunt but did covid affect most on here?
