EI Scotland Marketing

Post by GeorgeNTravels »

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere on the forum but I can't comprehend Aer Lingus and their lousy attempt at marketing. They have on their website just shown me: Latest Offers from Scotland with the following 4 routes listed:

Edinburgh - Dublin
Manchester - New York
Manchester - Orlando
Manchester - Barbados

What chance do GLA have if this is the effort airlines are making to market routes. Glasgow - Dublin easily could be shown and if they wanted 2 more routes (one from GLA and one from EDI) with a connection in Dublin.

Gents, before the thread degenerates into a 'Schottland,Schottland Uber Alles' farce, the OP was merely suggesting that EI's advertising is lazy and uninspired and of no use to Glasgow. One route from Scotland (EDI) and three from Manchester which although not in Scotland is in the U.K. wether we like it or not. Please keep the comments to the original post.

Thank you, that is what I was trying to suggest, that it was just lazy marketing from EI.

My bigger issue with EI is the pathetic number of flights currently scheduled to DUB from GLA. 1 a day over the summer.... Seriously?

Going up to 4x day from the end of march but the A320 is replaced with ATR72's so it probably balances itself out capacity wise.
