PIK 70’s and 80’s photos

Post by Clive »

I know some of our older members will like to see this. Even though it’s not from GLA it’s a treat for aviation enthusiasts of a certain vintage.

Ah nostalgia, and from 'an older member' it didn't take me long to spot Viscount G-AMOG (27-Mar-76 PIK-PIK SCAN charter, a few members also got a trip later in G-AMON), B707 G-AWHU (30-Jun-81 PIK-JFK, my first ever trip abroad . . . and paid for by my employer!), B747 N621US (07-May-82 PIK-SNN-JFK), BAe146 G-CNMF (10-Aug-90 GLA-LGW), and B747 C-FDJC (11/12-Aug-90 AMS-CAI-AUH-SIN then 26/27-Aug-90 BKK-AUH-CDG operating for Garuda)

C-FDJC holds the honour of my highest time B747 at 26:45 hours just pipping ZK-NZX and VH-EBR
