Good selection of BR and KT equipment, the Tristar outside the BA hangar was quite impressive.

Fantastic selection of photographs, with some sadly missed examples of old GLA favourites. Special liking from myself the aircraft showing ‘Caledonian’ only & not British Caledonian as of course they were…. As Scottish an airline as bowler hats, frogs legs & Paella… great nostalgic shots.Hugh McMillan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 3:49 pm https://youtu.be/eK8CwsyEzAc

Great slides Hugh. Was there ever a better looking 747 than the one in BCAL colours?
Re: British Caledonian Airways & associated airlines
Great photos. My first ever flight was a BCal 1-11 from GLA-NCL. Great airline but pity they lost the plot in the late 70s, early 80s. As an independent it was assumed they would join the industry group of UK private sector airlines raising concerns regards the privatisation of BA however they ignored this and went it alone to campaign against BA and Laker. Whilst concentrating on others business they took their eye off the ball and lost sight of their own business.
