Seanm raising there is speculation Jet2 could be about to make an order for A330neos at the Paris air show.
Though I know a few would support European ops most likely from MAN but surely Orlando is a no brainer for them from Man aswell. It could do very very well indeed from GLA I would argue, especially if Flyglobespan could do it almost daily and Thomas cook.

If true it also seems the future for Jet2 is airbus all the way!

My initial thoughts were Orlando (probably SFB), Cancun, Barbados and the possibility of bringing back their winter NYC flights.Gla1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2023 2:36 pm Seanm raising there is speculation Jet2 could be about to make an order for A330neos at the Paris air show.

I also think they will go all Airbus, leaving Ryanair as the last major airline in Europe to be a Boeing customer.

Whilst that may be true it’s not all milk and honey out there in the land of long haul charter.
firstly Jet2Holidays would need to secure beds, airport facilities and representatives: the normal lead time for new destinations is at least a two year window in advance.
Long haul charter is up against scheduled carries : BA, EI UK,VS as well as Norse all of whom plan to or already serve Florida and major Caribbean and Mexican destinations. Then there is TUI, an established operators since 1962 although long haul charter has had patchy times due to currency fluctuations, oil price rises and competition from other lower cost, nearer countries.
So good for Jet2if they do announce an order for A330 neos but they may used on routes to the Canaries and Turkey before they cross the pond.
