Presumably you don't have access to the info, so I wouldnt laugh. It could very well be true, you need to ask why UA/DL/AC all consolidated their ops at EDI.

Indeed you are correct, and perhaps the EDI-MCO service is seeing a better mix of clientelle rather than just Mickey Mouse fans

Perhaps not as tui are bining edi - florida in favour for GLA .. Of course its for the micky mouse brigade why else woukd they have it , if they wanted a mix of clientelle they can easily funnel through ATL , JFK otherwise

Are the parks especially Disney not struggling?

And the exchange rate around 1.25
Last time I was in Florida it was maybe 8 years ago. Apart from the theme parks which are constantly evolving, a lot of the area around Kissimmee and International drive didn't seem much different to when I first visited in the 90's.

Park Ticket prices are crazy. A 14 day Disney ticket is £489 per adult. Kids tickets are £469. This gets you access to all the Disney parks. You then have to factor a minimum of $25 per day for parking.

Individual 1 day tickets for Disney with no park hopping vary between $104-159. Kids get a $5 discount.

A Universal Studio's Ticket is £329 per adult for a 14 day ticket. Kids tickets are £321. This gets you access to the 3 Universal Studios parks. Parking is $30 minimum per day.

Disney are also involved in a big dispute with the governor of Florida.

Obviously first weekend of the holidays, but Saturday's flight was 392, plus 3 babies.

Without opening any cans of worms, the ontime inbound had a 20min+ wait for a stand, and then baggage / apparant staffing issues, led to a delay of 1hr 40

Last year's flights we were in Upper - was never sure if a TR from Edi would have gone down well here. That was the A330 with the 30 seat UC which was full - plenty American passengers.

Living in Perth, EDI is nearer for us, but far prefer Glasgow as an airport.

Changed days since 4x 747s per week in high season. Cost of living, exchange rate being poor still are to blame, but one big factor is Disney stopping it's 'free dining' promotion.

The credit which is offered in its place suited us well last year, but any posts on social media, the comments are just people wanting free dining back before booking. That really has put a lot off.

There has been a drop in frequency or capacity with VS from Man / lhr to Orlando as well, to the point they have now got rid of the Downtown Disney check-in area.
