Perhaps more relevant is next year sees the start of A330Neo(A339) deliveries and also the A359 should join the fleet. Those would allow a 2nd service to operate with something smaller than the B77W, although exact configuration for the new Airbuses has not yet been released.

I think they might have dropped the A339 order and switched to A359s and 789s?
I guess it's peak summer, but 97% loads might indicate they need to increase capacity sooner than next summer. Those loads mean many flights will be going 100% full, meaning they'll be turning business away - not something airlnes want to be doing.
I understand the A380 is a big deal, but competing against double daily QR at EDI, I think GLA really needs 2x daily.

They dropped the A330 NEO and added 20 A350-900s. A380 is good for the airport, but 777x2 is more profitable for EK, as GLA is one of EKs busiest hubs for cargo in UK

Some have mentioned the 789 and A339 .. again this is a backstep .. we are better than that

Had a look at the Airbus website, and EK no longer on the A330neo customer list, so I'd agree they've switched their orders around.
