I have to question what % of those required to go into 14 days of self-isolation actually 'follow the rules'

The next four arrivals at the Scottish Government's own airport are all from Spain - Palma & Alicante tonight, Palma & Malaga tomorrow

The CAA's tables for July now include GLA - rather academic but 68,000 passengers in the month down 93% on July 2019

As a comparison EDI 169,000 down 89% & PIK 14,000 down 83%

The numbers will be grim for a while yet. At least each month is showing an improvement over the previous one, so all I'm looking for is that trend to continue. For all airports, it's going to be a rebuilding effort from near zero.

Agreed, and a rebuilding effort over years rather than months but outline commercial agreements between airports and airlines need to be agreed now to secure a longer term position where airport capacity will clearly exceed passenger demand

Allen McL wrote: Sun Sep 13, 2020 9:59 am Are "team GLA" looking at long term opportunities coming out of all this ? Are they renegotiating existing deals, talking about new ones, looking at attracting new business, reinforcing links and routes ?
Are they simply ticking over, waiting for things to bob up to the surface ?

What's the long term thinking ?
My opinion I have my doubts , i dont think there that pro active to seize opportunity's but i hope i am proved wrong .
