upwards of 25,000 due in City starting Monday
I would assume that there will be all sorts of flights.
Had to laugh this morning. They are cleaning the M80 (route from Gleneagles). Multiple Road sweepers on hard shoulder.
Meanwhile, in the parts of the City that the Cop people wont see, its a complete riot with bins overflowing and vermin numbers exploding.
This wins the 2021 Virtue Signalling World Cup.

Nice that they’ve painted over all the UB graffiti on the M80 bridge gantries at the M8 flyover.

Sadly it will be back tomorrow morning.

It would certainly be bizarre if the airport 6 miles away from the conference itself couldn't host inbound traffic whilst one 40 odd miles away did. Especially when fossil fuels are a major topic right now. Even by means of virtue signalling, a shorter over land journey surely ought to be better PR for all concerned.

That said, I've heard GLA will still be busy, we'll have to wait and see.

EDI probably because of 4* / 5* accommodation

PIK has the hard standing for large jets plus of course Turnberry

There is no doubt GLA will host everything it can and be maxed out. The other airports will have to take the remainder.

As far as Im aware, and Im not certain, the UB are not in charge of refuse collections or made the decison to empty household waste once every 3 weeks and glass bottles once every 8 weeks. But, could be wrong.
