Looked like a 763 in the photos I saw today

My mistake in that case. Also on the social media thread I saw the photos on, a UA staff member said UA had no firm plans to return to GLA.

No fixed plans but hoping it can happen in the future or words to that effect. Anyway - who knows what's around the corner.

It really is a sad state of affairs. GLA cannot maintain a US hub link and EDI is getting widebody service from 2 with narrowbody from another. There has to be far more focus on selling GLA as gateway to the Highlands and Islands. This is what people think of when they think of Scotland.

Worth remembering it might not be a failure of GLA management, United have 52 777-200 aircraft grounded because of the incident at Denver. This means 767's and 757's have been re-allocated to cover core routes. So they are massively short of a/c.

Think not just my opinion: “Worth remembering” as you start your post: It is a failure of GLA management.

Sorry just like to take snippet from your post: ‘There has to be far more focus on selling GLA’

As far as I know the reasons for the wide body 767 is a lack of reliable 757. Delta and United are waiting delivery of their
A321 LR. Once they have them they will properly return to narrow body again.
