So typical of easyJet. Give with one hand take with the other. VCE in the bin but here's Lisbon. So frustrating

VCE was using one of the bases aircraft where as LIS is an EJU flight so something else maybe getting slotted in instead of VCE

Customer choice. If no eejit uses the GLA service then of course it won’t sustain. Airport bosses can’t force the locals to fly.

Your right they can't force them to fly but they could do other things such as work with the airlines, find solutions to build up there network so we are more competitive. Work with glasgow council , the tourist board etc etc . But sadly not seen much of this the latter as visit Scotland don't really advertise glasgow .

I’m sure they would argue that they do work with all stakeholders and agencies to promote new and existing routes.

I've raised this before. Unfortunately a majority of Glaswegians will not consider anywhere out with the usual sunny destinations and especially the Canaries. It's a depressing lack of imagination from a lot in the west.

Plus, those who will go to sample such a destination will go once so the pot gets smaller.

Like when PRG started and we had something like 120kpa.

Anecdotal obviously but there's a reason that for years GLA was the bucket and spade capital of Scotland. There's a reason we have so many flights to the Canaries.... That's where the demand is. People who take one holiday a year (a lot of the users of GLA) will tend to go to a sunny warm climate. Not a city break.
