Contacted BA for cash refund for my daughter's flights to/from British Virgin Islands in late July on Saturday. Got through right away to a very pleasant lady in India who actioned refund stating it would be back on my credit card in 7-10 days . . . . back on my credit card in 2 days.Pilot Friendly wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 11:51 amTen minutes on the phone, including waiting for call to be answered, and money is now on way back to me.McG wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 7:51 pmFrom reading Flyertalk, BA holidays have been pretty decent in providing refunds.Pilot Friendly wrote: ↑Fri May 29, 2020 7:43 pm My flights to Heathrow on 9th July returning on 25th July have both just been cancelled.
They were connecting for flights to Los Angeles and Honolulu booked as a BA holiday. Wasn’t expecting to go anyway due to Covid - 19.
Waiting on BA to contact me for my refund.

The lady I was talking to suggested two daily flights GLA- LHR in July

Well done BA

Lufthansa is next on my list after cancelling return flights to Budapest via Frankfurt for my wife & eldest daughterbaystate wrote: ↑Fri Jun 19, 2020 11:30 amCompare that to Lufthansa, who cancelled some planned April flights for me on 18 March. I was still waiting on a refund until last week, when I gave up and went Sec.75 route. Subsequently credited within 48 hours by the card provider.Bearsden wrote: ↑Thu Jun 18, 2020 7:36 pm

WestJet & Air Transat to/from Toronto flights for eldest daughter now in travel credit accounts
Re: British Airways
London City resuming today, with a single rotation BA8722/3, operated by G-LCYT.
Re: British Airways
Was booked on BA1468 going home from work mid August. A 12hr layover in London arriving from BGI early hours at Gatwick was not tempting. So I decided the train was a better option to Glasgow.
Re: British Airways
Resumption of Gatwick's short-haul operations pushed back from 07 Sep to 09 Nov
I will be surprised if BA's GLA-LCY/LGW/LHR combined frequency reached 30% of last year for the rest of 2020

Re: British Airways
I'd be surprised if LGW returns at all
Re: British Airways
You could be right. Faster hearing John Holland-Kaye in yesterday’s news talking about LHR losses BA schedules could all be accommodated from LHR given reductions in frequency, less domestic business travel, less VFR, leisure travel etc, etc.
That then puts into question the 200MAX order, 777s, and Airbus 319-350.

So are BA closing their LGW base or are they not?atuk wrote: ↑Thu Jul 30, 2020 10:34 amYou could be right.
