I also note Freebird mentioned, but we don't have anything from them at the moment, and that's one I would have expected to be a peak summer service from mid-June to end-July, I know they were linked to Tui, but is it actually happening?
The document is titled "GLA S22 Start of Season Report" so my guess is until the end of October. Only saying that as TUI doesn't have Sharm listed and easyJet doesn't have AGA listed
The capacity is way too much for just summer, and our ski routes are showing, which don't fly in summer. Also, Montego Bay is for winter cruises only. Could Sharm and Agadir be still to be added?

Just double checked there, breakdown for BA is;

LHR - 722,476
LCY - 168,658
LGW - 78,120
AGP - 5,096
ALC - 5,096
BCN - 4,900
MAH - 3,626
SZG - 3,136
GLA? - 196

They don't need to use them all as I think that LHR figure is really high
That gives a BA total of 991 304, so the first "6" is surplus. That pushes the figure up to around 5.9m. LHR figure looks fine, as it used to be a route with well over a million in its own right, back in the days of BD and BA, so 722k for BA sounds reasonable.
just spotted the mistake there, i'll fix it now.

Jet2 dragged Geneva into April which would be covered by S22, a 737 with 189 seats means a return flight gives 378 seats, think it did three return flights in April.

Montego Bay had at least 1 inbound flight covered by S22 as it arrived in April

Ah, of course, these run into the first month of summer. My apologies, forgot about that bit. Now it makes more sense, particularly crunching the EK figure it does look like the summer season. So, even if we only get 80% loads, which is probably a bit light, then we're looking at around 4.5m over the summer season, which is quite reasonable in the circumstances.

No worries, I agree, given the circumstances it's a pretty good summer. Hopefully team GLA can build on this into S23.

The Freebird DLM service should have originally been a GLA service but has been switched to an EDI departure instead. Flight is on behalf of TUI and started on the last Saturday in May with no slots filed the day before operations started.

GeorgeNTravels wrote: Sat Jun 25, 2022 5:08 pm Was looking on the ACL website for something and noticed the start of season report was published. Key points highlighted below.

Number of Seats by Airline

easyJet UK - 1,904,786
Jet2.com - 915,516
British Aiways - 991,304
TUI Airways - 438,567
Ryanair - 422,694
KLM - 223,470
Emirates - 153,636
Loganair - 313,512
Aer Lingus - 130,896
Air Transat - 75,428
Lufthansa - 90,212
WestJet - 58,812
easyJet Europe - 65,532
Icelandair - 52,338
Corendon Airlines - 45,738
Vueling - 27,280
Transavia France - 23,466
Freebird - 12,960
Balkan Holidays - 10,800
Lumiwings - 6,556
I will break down the number of seats for each destination into a spreadsheet and then create a formula to subtract each months pax figures. Then at the end of the summer season I will work out the percentage of seats filled for each route.
Why….. Is yer telly broke ???
